Beginner skiing in Arabba ****

Arabba is often thought of as being more of a resort for intermediates and advanced skiers but as in any ski resort there are still easy nursery slopes to be found. The nursey slopes that are on offer are right by the centre of the village so as a beginner you to not have to take any dawnting lifts go get to the suitable slopes.

Taking advantage of the full area pass will give you access to what seems like a never ending amount of intermediate skiing as well as advanced skiing. There is no way that you can cover it all Ian a week and it will leaving you wanting more and more.

Advanced skiing Arabba *****

The possibilities for advanced skiing in Arabba and beyond are almost endless. Locally here is some tough skiing up on the Marmolada Glacier and there are some challenging black runs to be found on the 'Porta Vescovo' mountain as well. Further afield and on the Sella Ronda circuit and you will soon forget about the advanced skiing in Arabba whilst in search of even more challenges in the linked resorts such as Selva, Canazai, or Corvara. With roughly 1200km of piste in the Dolomiti Superski it's impossible they bored!

The potential for office piste skiing in Arabba and the surrounding area is massive but you have to be careful and stick within the rules. You will find that people still ski off piste in Arabba but a guide is highly recommended. If you want to safely stick within the rules on a powder day and want some fresh lines then seek out the runs heading down from St Cristiana from Alpe di Suisi which are marked yet unpisted. There are plenty of other areas like this to discover but as mentioned above it's is highly recommended that you hire a guide if you want to make the most off piste skiing that Arabba and the surrounding Sella Ronda has to offer.

It is also worth remembering that unlike in France, heli-skiing is not illegal in Italy. The Marmolada Glacier is a hot spot for heli-skiing and given that Arabba is right next door heli-skiing trips can very easily be organised.
