Given that Canazei is linked onto the Sella Ronda ski circuit, there is a seemingly endless amount of skiing to be had, with multiple resorts to ski too and from as well as loads of valleys to discover, each containing their own little secrets. The areas is fantastic for expert skiers are adventurous intermediates but beginners are well serviced as well.
The nursery slopes are right in the center of the village so for absolute beginners there is not need to have to take any big scary gondolas. Once you have done a day or so in the beginner's area it will be time to head up the Belevarde Gondola towards the main slopes in the valley which you can test your newfound skills.
Intermediate skiers in Canazei will love the local slopes. There is about 150km of piste in Val di Fassa alone and much of consists on red runs that are not too challenging. Many intermediates will be happy with just a local valley lift pass but those who really want to test themselves will want o purchase a full area pass and hit the Sella Ronda Circuit.
There is loads of advanced skiing in Canazei and the surrounding resorts. Expert skiers will definitely want to purchase the full Dolomiti Superski lift pass which will give full access to all of the nearby resorts and the legendary Sella Ronda Circuit. It is a serious ski to make it round the full circuit in one day but it is a must do for any advanced skier. Aiming to do the clockwise and the anti clockwise circuit at least once each throughout the course of a weeks skiing is the aim of most experts. Testing yourself on the World Cup Downhill piste in Val Gardina is also a must-do.
The Dolimiti Snowpark is located just above Canazei and it will attract snowboarders of all abilities offering rails, boxes and jumps of various sizes so no matter how experienced or inexperienced you are at snowboarding there will still be something on offer for you. There is also a boarder cross which will be enjoyed by all.
There is loads of off piste to be found in the Sella Ronda but be careful as it is band in some areas. It is always advisable to hire a guide when going off piste in Italy. Sass Pordoi offer some decent off piste route and you will find that there are designated trails which are unpisted listed on the Sella Ronda piste map as well.
