The Biggest Ski Areas in Austria

Arlberg ski Circus

There are quote a lot of ski areas in Austria that offer loads of skiing all on 1 lift pass but you often have to get buses are trains between various resorts. The first major area to look at main for a big ski regions in Austria is the Alberg Ski Circuit. Made up of Lech, St Anton and Warth as well as a few other smaller resorts, it offers 340km of piste as well as a wealth of off piste possibilities. You have to get a bus between Lech and St Anton but other than that you will barely ever have to take off your skis.

Silvretta Ski Arena

The Silvretta Ski Area (of which the main resort of Ischgl) which has 340km pf piste. Which is nearly all linked. If you are staying in Ischgl itself then it is very unlikely that you will every bother to get the bus up or down the valley to visit one of the satellite villages that is also covered on the lift pass. It is also handy to know that you can ski over to a resort called Samnaun which is just over the Swiss boarder and offers duty free prices.

The Ski Welt / Kitzbuheler Alps

The Ski Welt / Kitzbuheler Alps area which offers 280km of piste on the Ski Welt side and 170km of piste on the Kitzbuhel side. Westendorf is the main hub in the middle of these two areas and if you get the Kitzbuheler Alps AllStar pass then you can enjoy all 450km all on the one pass.
