The Katmandu is a basic hotel in a fantastic central location, close to everything Pas de la Casa has to offer, and only a short walk to the lifts and ski school – an easy walk, even in ski boots.
Compared to other hotels, the facilities are limited - there's no lobby or lounge for example - but with all the skiing you’ll be doing, you won’t need much to keep you busy. For the evenings, though, there’s a rooftop terrace with fabulous views across the resort, as well as a bar with music that’s perfect for grabbing a drink or two before experiencing the resort’s famous nightlife. And you're never far from your next meal, with breakfast and 3-course evening meals served onsite.
Most importantly, though, the bedrooms and bathrooms at the Katmandu are tidy, contemporary and welcoming after a day on the slopes and a night on the town.
Location:
Hotel Katmandu is situated on the Carrer Catalunya, meters from the French border. Conveniently, it’s in the center of resort, next door to a selection of cafés and restaurants (those golden arches aren’t too far either), shops and even a couple of supermarkets. In the mornings, head straight over and down the Carrer Bearn to the slopes – it’s no less than a 5-minute walk away – then catch a ride up to the snowy peaks of the Grandvalira.
