Chalets and Chalet Hotels in the snow-sure resort of Sölden are hard to find and we are delighted that our first Chalet Hotel in this resort has proved a great success. The Hermann is a charming and traditional hotel in which our guests enjoy the full i-ski catering services.

'Location, location, location!'

Not many chalets or hotels in Sölden can offer better access to the skiing. The Chalet Hotel Hermann has one of the most scenic locations in the resort with several access routes to the skiing. The lively atmosphere of Solden's centre can be reached by a 5 minute walk to a small funicular down to the town plus we offer free evening shuttle service.

Ski Area Access

Whether you are a newcomer to winter sports or a seasoned snow hound, there is suitable access to Solden's skiing for all. From the Hermann intermediate skiers can walk 65m down a path, cross a lane and then ski down a small track to the red ‘Gigi’ run. At the end of the day you ski back from the No.9 red run which comes down from Gaislachkogl. Beginners’ lessons start at the Innerwald area which is a gentle 5 minutes’ walk away and we have arranged that rented skis and boots can be left overnight at the Innerwald ski hire shop. There is also a free ski bus which stops just outside and runs at the start and end of the ski day.

Comfortable Hotel Facilities

For guests seeking a traditional Austrian place to stay, the Chalet Hotel Hermann definitely ticks all the right boxes being well laid out and lovingly cared for over the years. But the Hermann isn't just one building; it also boasts the 'Panorama' wing just adjacent where the building design and interiors are stylish and contemporary.

The owner has renovated the lounge area in the Chalet Hotel Hermann to create a more modern yet comfortable area ideal for our guests to enjoy our inclusive afternoon tea with freshly baked cakes or pre-dinner drinks with canapés. The dining room is light and spacious with traditional Austrian style seating, as well as regular tables and chairs. The bar will most definitely become the focal point of the hotel, being central in the building and buzzing with a lively and welcoming atmosphere.

All the bedrooms within the Chalet Hermann have their own en suite facilities, either private shower or bath, most with retro-tiling much beloved by Austrian architects! Most also have a balcony or terrace. In the 'Panorama' wing the bedrooms all have balcony or terrace with fantastic views and are all en suite with showers and wcs that have been tastefully designed with clean classic lines and smart fittings throughout. Guests staying in the Panorama wing will enjoy their meals in the Hermann which is literally just next door and share all its facilities. The Panorama wing houses its own ski room plus an Austrian-style lounge where afternoon tea can be enjoyed. The Wellness area in the Chalet Hermann boasts a sauna and steam room with power showers and a relaxation area – the ideal spot in which to ease aching muscles, unwind and completely relax.

CULINARY CHOICE DINNERS
A special feature of this Chalet Hotel is a more extensive culinary experience for our guests. With the greater kitchen facilities of a hotel, our professional chefs are able to offer choices of menu at dinner freshly prepared for you six nights per week, generally including lighter as well as more hearty options, and always a vegetarian choice for each course. Guests will be asked to choose their evening meals at breakfast for that evening from a varied daily selection. Our Chalet Hotel adult-only dinners offer 3 courses for six nights per week, starting with an apéritif, followed by an appetiser, main course and dessert or cheese selection to round off your meal in style. All this is then followed by coffee to complete your evening’s repast! Your choice of complimentary quality wines is unlimited during the meal service and freshly chilled water is also of course always available.

CHILDREN’S HIGH TEA
High Tea provides children under 13 years with a healthy menu, tailored more towards children’s tastes and puréed food is available for infants on request. High Tea is at 5.30pm, and children do not join the main adult-only dinner.

ADULTS DINING WITH CHILDREN
Families may choose to eat separately (High Tea at 5:30pm) or all dine together at the later adult dinner time if children who have received a child discount pay the meal upgrade charge of £39 at the time of booking only.
