Unlike many of the ultra-modern chalets in St. Anton, the Chalet Sophia actually looks like a traditional chalet: detached, and in a pretty, peaceful area amidst Alpine trees with stunning mountain views. All seven of the good sized bedrooms are en suite, being comfortable and well furnished, including Satellite TV with some English channels. Almost all of the bedrooms benefit from having lovely views of the surrounding hillsides and mountains. The dining room is situated on the top floor of the chalet and the chalet also has a separate cosy TV/ sitting room. On the lower ground floor is a sizeable relaxation area, with jet showers and both sauna and steam room - ideal to rest those aching limbs at the end of a long day on the slopes.

Location:

The chalet is just a minute or so walk to the free bus stop for shopping and skiing and is very easy to catch. Alternatively guests can walk down to the town or lifts in about 15 minutes. For those guests who don’t fancy going into town for après ski drinks, can try nearby hotel bars, such as the Alpenhof - just a few mins walk away.

To make life easier, don't forget you can always store your ski / snowboard equipment at our rental shop, which is conveniently located close to the central lifts (free if rented, or a nominal charge if your own equipment).

We are true foodies at heart, and you can expect the very best treats for your stay! A chalet holiday is not just as comfortable as a home-from-home, but far better! Aromas from the kitchen tell you that preparation for the evening meal are well under way, and our attentive staff are on hand to look after you.

Breakfast:

Start the day with a continental breakfast along with a range of hot options to set you up for a day on the mountain. You can expect cereals, porridge, preserves, french pastries, (croissants, pain au chocolate), french bread, breads, fruit, yoghurt, fruit juices plus cooked breakfast options of eggs and other hot items like sausages, bacon, beans, pancakes and bacon rolls with tea, coffee or hot chocolate. On two mornings we offer a Full English and other mornings is hot cooked options.

Afternoon Tea:

On your return to the chalet from a great day on the slopes, unwind with afternoon tea or coffee and a freshly baked cake or biscuits, which are different each day.

Our 3 course dinner menu:

Enjoy a delicious, freshly cooked three course meal with unlimited wine until dessert, which is served on 6 out of 7 nights. After dinner, thoughts don’t turn to washing up and the TV, but to relaxing in an alpine setting, board games in front of the fire with new friends or après ski, floodlit skiing, or just star-gazing as the piste bashers groom the slopes high above.

For the staff day off breakfast will still be provided on a self-serve basis, leaving you free to explore the local restaurants in the evening. Our resort staff can help groups pre-book a table at local restaurants.
