Châtel is a charming village with an authentic centre and sprawling suburbs. After a day on the slopes Châtel offers a lot of possibilities to enjoy yourself in the restaurants, bars and / or nightclubs.

Chalet Alpaca was built in 1993. A few years back, the living room was enhanced with a beautifully bright bay window, lovely lounge sofas, and just fantastic views. The chalet is located in the cozy, traditional centre of Chatel near the ski lifts. It is a generously built house and very suitable for both individual bookings and group bookings. After a long day of sports activities in the cold, the sauna and fireplace offer warmth and relaxation. There are many car parking spaces available at the chalet.

Village
Châtel is an authentic mountain village with a central location in Portes du Soleil. Thanks to the many restaurants and cozy bars, there is a real winter sports atmosphere!

The lift to the sunny Super Châtel ski area leaves from the center of Châtel. Here beginners and children can have fun and practice. For the more interesting slopes, take the ski bus to Pré la Joux, which departs within walking distance of the chalet. This lift takes you directly into the Portes du Soleil ski area.

Châtel has a good reputation when it comes to après-ski. After skiing, you can have a drink at one of the many bars or go out in the evening to spots such as Sloopy’s and L’Avalanche.

The village has also proven itself far and wide as a family destination. Here you will find child-friendly slopes and a club where the little ones can learn to ski in a playful way.

In Châtel there are plenty of activities to do for the non-winter sports enthusiast. How about a visit to the cheese farm, an unforgettable experience with paragliding or a cool ice dive? You will also find an indoor swimming pool and a wellness center here.

Skiing here is a cross-border experience, because the slopes near Châtel border on Switzerland. Châtel is part of the fantastic ski area "Portes du Soleil". More than 220 lifts make 650 kilometres of skiing available, with numerous possibilities.

Less experienced and advanced skiers alike can go 'wandering' for days and make trips to places like Morgins, Avoriaz and Champery, from France to Switzerland and vice versa. The best skiers can find one of the steepest slopes of the Alps (‘the wall’) in Pas de Chavanette and pristine snow conditions on the Pointe de Mosette. To sum up, a superb ski area!

You should certainly not forget your cross-country skiing equipment. There is a beautiful scenic cross-country network around Châtel, that even the experienced cross-country skier will enjoy. For even more variety, you can explore the impressive trails of Portes du Soleil.

If you fancy extra luxury in your catered chalet, you can book a Deluxe package for just €35,00 per guest. The Deluxe package includes:

6 culinary surprises per week after skiing. These include a luxury snack platter, a cheese fondue evening instead of a 3-course dinner, a winter cocktail hour, and 1 prosecco breakfast.

Childcare in your chalet
We offer in all catered chalets the possibility to get professional daycare. Wens Chalets has several experienced babysitters stationed in the Alps. When you book daycare with us the babysitter will take care of your kids in your own chalet. She'll play games with them and make sure the kids have just as much fun as their parents

Our Business Events Team are specialized in organising short ski trips for business purposes. Enjoy the snow for a couple of days with your colleagues and return full of energy and inspiration. During a few days on a short skiing trip, you will get to know your colleagues better than during an entire year at the office! Even for a short ski trip with your company a catered chalet is the ideal accommodation. Next to arranging accommodation, our associates from the Business Events Team take care of your transportation and ensure that the passes are booked and your ski equipment is ready. They make sure everything is taken care of in advance, so you can make your way to the slopes right away, and therefore no valuable time will be lost!

Deluxe Package
When you rent a chalet privately, a Deluxe Package can be booked for the entire group at Euro 35,- per person per week. This includes the following:

Culinary program, with 6x a culinary surprise (including a luxury snack platter, a Alpen Dinner instead of a 3-course dinner, a winter drink and 1x prosecco breakfast).
(Only bookable for the entire group in a private chalet, with the exception of children under 13 years)

Afternoon Tea
When you rent a chalet privately, it is possible to book an Afternoon tea for the entire group for Euro 25,- per person per week. The sweets that can be served during this Afternoon tea can include:

Scones;
Victoria sponge;
Various cakes;
Biscuits;
Local delicacies.
The Afternoon tea is served from 4:00 PM.

(Only bookable for the entire group in a private chalet, with the exception of children under 13 years)

Beverage package XL
It is also possible to book a Beverage Package XL if you rent a chalet privately. The price for this is Euro 35,- per person per week. This includes;

Aperol Spritz;
Sparkling wine;
Stiegl beer;
Wheat beer;
Energy drink;
Tonic.
