Chalet Violetta is an excellent ski-in, ski-out traditional wooden chalet, located in the unique traffic-free resort of Avoriaz. Close to the resort centre, with easy access to all bars, restaurants and shops, the chalet is a classic modern, semi-detached wooden chalet, with 7 bedrooms across 3 floors, open plan living area and sauna.

The adjoining semi-detached chalet is Chalet Perce Neige. Chalet Violetta and Perce Neige share an entrance hall but have their own private access to each chalet from the hallway.

Chalet Violetta has a bright modern feel combining traditional savoir style with smart functionality. The open-plan living/dining means there's room for socialising on your chalet holiday and gives a warm and cosy ambience while you can watch the horse-drawn sleigh taxis trot past.

The cosy bedrooms are decorated with traditional wooden style furnishings to create a classic chalet feel. All have twin beds that can be be made up as doubles; please request at booking. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms; 3 rooms have separate shared wc’s. Downstairs, the wooden sauna with adjacent shower is perfect for relaxing in and rejuvenating tired muscles! The Ski & Boot room offers boot warmers.

The chalet is located near our other chalets in Avoriaz. It is just a short 2-minute walk to the nearest bars, including the Folie Douce & the Yeti. The traffic-free resort centre with shops, restaurants, cafes and the exhilarating Aquariaz water park are just a few minutes walk away from the chalet.

A snowcat resort taxi on arrival and departure in Avoriaz is included. This is a fun ride in a piste basher style vehicle, saving a 5 minute walk across snow from the Avoriaz Welcome Station (airport transfer drop off point and car park) to the chalet door, or you can take a magical horse and sleigh resort taxi (payable locally).

Chalet Violetta is a catered chalet with our Classic chalet board which consists of a continental and a cooked option breakfast, delicious afternoon tea and cake and a 3-course evening meal with wine included, all provided by your friendly SkiWeekends host who lives out. Please note our chalet staff have 2 days off a week, a Wednesday and a Saturday. On these days they will leave continental only breakfast and afternoon tea out for you, but the evening meal is not provided, which gives you an opportunity to dine out in the resort, where there are plenty of lovely local restaurants, not to mention an excellent choice of bars and shops.

Meals in Chalet Violetta, Avoriaz

Our Classic chalet board is the main experience that has built a loyal following over many years. Each one of our Classic chalets has been hand-picked for their lovely alpine feel, superb location and traditional interior. As well as a welcome drink on your first day, you will start your morning in a classic chalet with a delicious hot and continental breakfast served to you by your friendly chalet host on 5 out of 7 mornings. On two mornings there is a self service continental breakfast (see each chalet information page for details). Your host will ensure the chalet is kept sparklingly clean throughout your stay. After your day on the slopes you will return to your chalet where a sumptuous afternoon tea and home-made cake will be waiting. This is your moment to kick back and relax in front of the fire whilst your host prepares a delicious three course meal (6 evenings our of 7). In our Classic chalets the wine flows freely during dinner, and your host will always leave you with some extra for the rest of the evening. The chalet kitchen is closed one evening a week (detail are in each chalet information page) , when you can explore the local bars and restaurants. To ensure you can ski on your travel days before/after room checkout, there is always a place to change and a place to store your luggage throughout the day.

If travelling with children under 4 years old you can only book this chalet for sole use

Arrival and Departure days:
Arrive on a Monday and stay for 3 or 7 nights
Arrive on a Thursday and stay for 4 or 7 nights
Chalet Hosts days off are Wednesday and Saturday (these days will vary over Christmas and New Year)

Check in/Out:

On arrival day - you may arrive at Chalet Violetta anytime from 09:30 to change, leave your bags and go skiing. Your bedroom will be ready by 17:00 at the latest but normally earlier.

Late Arrival Supplement - if you are scheduled to arrive at the chalet after 21:30 we will book a host to return to work to let you into the chalet, show you to your room, provide you with information to ensure your ski time is not delayed the next day and to provide you with a light supper. There is a small supplement for late arrivals.

On your departure day, bedroom checkout is 09:00 but we know that you may want to ski until the last minute, so we ensure that there is somewhere for you to leave your bags and change up until 5pm. Where possible a shower will be made available for you to use too; this cannot be guaranteed until your departure day.

Please note that on guest change over days, between the hours of 09:30 and 17:00, both departing and arriving guests will be sharing the chalet public areas.

Christmas and New Year:
Please note that arrival dates and durations available over the Christmas and New Year Period may be different. Please ask for details.

Transfers:

Typically it takes 1 hour 30 minutes from Geneva Airport, plus 15 minutes for the snowcat to the chalet.

Shared Geneva Airport transfers are included in your chalet holiday.

Shared Transfer Restrictions
Arrivals on a Monday or Thursday
Please ensure your flights are scheduled to land no later than 16:00
You will be on a transfer within 2 hours of your scheduled flight landing time
Returning on a Monday or Thursday
Please ensure your flights are scheduled to depart after 11:00
You will be on a shared transfer to check in at the airport around 2-3 hours before your flight departs
The last shared transfer leaves Avoriaz at 17:30

Your shared transfer will normally be in an 8 seater minibus.

Private Transfers & Other Flight Times
If the shared transfer times do not work for your flight times, private transfers are available subject to availability.

If you would like an early transfer from Geneva airport to resort, to be on the slopes in the morning, we recommend upgrading to a private transfer - please enquire.

Further Important Transfer Information
Please advise us before travel of any ski or snowboard bags you are bringing with you, to ensure we book a suitable vehicle.

The snowcat taxi is included to get you to/from the transfer drop off to the chalet.

Getting To Your Chalet:
Your mini-bus transfer from the airport will drop you at the Avoriaz Welcome Station.

Also included in your chalet holiday with us is a snowcat resort taxi, to get you to and from the chalet door. This is a fun ride in a piste basher style vehicle, saving a 10 minute walk across snow from the Avoriaz Welcome Station, or you can take a magical horse and sleigh resort taxi (payable locally).
