Club Med Chamonix Mont-Blanc was formerly the Grand Hotel before Club Med took it over, and when you look at the building you realise that from the outside it definitely lived up to its old name. On the inside the interior design has be specifically crafted to give a feeling of the refined luxury of a bygone era. The hotel truly has a majestic feeling both inside and out giving the sense of a grandiose refuge to head back to after a long day on the slopes where you can relax and tell tales of days gone by.
Jacques Garcia, architecte-décorateur
“The generous volumes of this Belle Epoque palace immediately made me want to create a warm and cosy atmosphere in the Neo-Baroque style. So I used -some might say overused - warm and contrasting colours as well as contrasting materials to reinforce the lived-in and intimist atmosphere of these spaces.”
On more of a practical note, Club Med Chamonix Mont-Blanc is one of the only major hotels in Chamonix to off ski in access, whilst the resort centre of just a short walk and the ski bus stop is just a short distance from the hotel as well. On site you have an outdoor heating swimming pool and terrace from which there are fantastic views of Mont-Blanc, and as you might expect from Club Med there is also a fabulous 'Club Med Spa' by Cinq Mondes.
