Chalet Fitzroy is absolutely gorgeous - your archetypal freestanding traditional chocolate box chalet.
Although a relatively recent construction, it has been built with traditional slate and stone and the owners have added personal touches which make this property an idyllically cozy place to be in the winter. Each bedroom has wooden bespoke furniture and alpine furnishings whilst the open-plan living / dining room with its wood burning fireplace and fantastic balcony with great views just oozes Alpine charm.
A sauna awaits those wishing to relax after a full day of exercise on the pistes. Alternatively, simply enjoy the amazing views from the top floor balcony which reach far across 1550 and the Bozel valley whilst having a well-earned pre-dinner drink with canapés.
Fitzroy is positioned next to some of our other 1650 properties - Chalets Le Misti, Kohu and Kassiopee and access to the village center with its many bars, restaurants and shops and the ski lifts leading to the popular 1650 ski area linking thereafter to the full 3V circuit is about a 5-7 minute (uphill) walk. You can also take advantage of the recently installed escalator system which will whisk you up the hill if you don't feel your legs have what it takes!
Chalet Fitzroy is run by one of our specially selected Chalet Hosts who lives out.

We believe we are the only recognized independent UK Operator to offer our properties on a flexible catering basis therefore providing our guests with as much choice as possible when choosing a fully-catered, part-catered or self-catered chalet or apartment. Our chalet hosts all enjoy cooking and take pride in what they serve and whilst they are not necessarily qualified chefs, they have good experience of dinner party cooking and many of them will have attended one of the well-regarded cookery schools with whom we work closely to ensure the highest caliber of staff possible.
Please remember though that our staff are also hand-selected for their personality and approach to work, something which we are sure you will agree, is absolutely paramount for the enjoyment of your well-earned holiday. If choosing the fully catered or part catered option, you will be assured of good home-cooked food prepared and served by great ambassadors from the tour operator. They will not offer luxury items or haute cuisine, they serve good wholesome hearty food fit for anyone after a hard day on the slopes. Menus will be varied and may include local dishes as well as the more traditional UK favorites such as roasts, lasagna or casseroles.
Chalet Wine: A selection of wines will be available for your fully catered stay (not self or part-catered) .
Why not enhance your holiday beyond chalets that are catered by pre-booking Additional Optional Extras such as Wii, Walkie-Talkies, Case of Champagne or Soft Drinks.
Self Catered Chalets are also available. Ask for details...
Please Note: Our menus have been formed over many years taking into account previous guests’ likes and recommendations and whilst we believe this plan to offer excellent variety, there will be the odd occasion when a dish might not be well-received. We would ask you therefore that if you have any specific dietary requirements or a yearning for dishes in particular, you esquire before booking your holiday and provide us with as much notice as possible regarding specific diets such as vegetarian, vegan, celiac or non-dairy etc.
