Chalet Marmot

Chalet Marmot is located in the ‘Hameau de Flaine’ area of the resort, a pretty hamlet of multicoloured chalets above the centre of Flaine and offering tremendous views over the ski area. Our chalet is Scandinavian in style with wooden exteriors and delightfully decorated inside with pine-clad walls, but very modern and very comfortable.

For your convenience we offer our complimentary minibus service to take you to the slopes at the start and end of the day of the skiing day. There is a ski track just 3 minutes’ walk from the chalet that leads down to Flaine Forêt, which is suitable for intermediate skiers and boarders. It then joins the piste going to the Grand Vans chairlift or further down to the Grandes Platieres gondola.

Alternatively there is an excellent bus service which takes 8 minutes to the Grand Vans, running every 10-15 minutes through to 6.30pm. In the evenings there is a free taxi service between the Hameau and the centre of Flaine. The Hameau area has a restaurant with a bar and a small shop and the main nightlife is in Flaine Forum where there is a large selection of bars and restaurants.

This is an ideal chalet for a group of friends or a couple of families. Split over three floors, the bedrooms are on the top and bottom floors with the entrance and communal areas in the middle. The two upper floor rooms lead off from a landing which has a single and a pull-out bed. These extra beds are only available for whole chalet bookings and recommended for children only. The open-plan lounge / dining area has large comfy sofas, a flat screen TV, balcony and a warming log-burning stove and the furnishings create the atmosphere of a true mountain hideaway.

Meals in Chalet Marmot, Flaine

DINNER IN CHALETS
A tasty and innovative, freshly cooked dinner will be prepared for you six nights per week by your Chalet Host – or by an experienced and professional chef in our larger chalets – and served with a choice of wines. Our four-course adult-only chalet dinners start with canapés and an apéritif, followed by an appetiser, main course and dessert, and completed by coffee with chocolates to round off your evening. Your choice of complimentary quality wines is unlimited during the meal service, and freshly chilled water is also of course always available.

CHILDREN’S HIGH TEA
In Chalets and Chalet Hotels with family guests, High Tea provides children under 13 years with a healthy menu, tailored more towards children’s tastes and puréed food is available for infants on request. High Tea is at 5.30pm, and children do not join the main adult-only dinner.

ADULTS DINING WITH CHILDREN
Families who have booked the entire chalet may choose to eat separately (High Tea at 5:30pm) or all dine together at the later adult dinner time if children who have received a child discount pay the meal upgrade charge of £39 at the time of booking only.
