Chalet Chenille sleeps up to 12 people comfortably in 4 bedrooms. All have full ensuite or private facilities and are located on the 2nd floor of the chalet.
Rooms 1 and 2 both have a mezzanine which can each sleep an extra two people (ideal for families or those on a bit of a budget) in twin beds.
The first floor has a large and bright open plan living dining area with huge picture window and balcony overlooking the picturesque river below. There are books, a TV with DVD´s, and Ipod compatible hifi and games to keep you entertained. A large log fire will keep you cosy and complimentary WIFI is available in the chalet.
On the ground floor there is a large boot room (complete with boot dryer) with plenty of space to store your skis, boards and helmets.
Chalet Chenille is ideal for a small group of family or friends, if you wish to bring a larger group then why not rent it along with Chalet Papillon? Both chalets together will sleep a group of up to 20 people!
The chalet is in the pretty, traditional village of Bettaix (or Bettex) at 1600m and is conveniently located between the 3 Valley resorts of Les Menuires (1850m) and St. Martin de Belleville (1450m).
There is easy access to high altitude Val Thorens (2300m) at the end of the valley and Meribel and Courchevel in neighbouring valleys.
The chalet shares the same building as its sister chalet Papillion. Both are in a peaceful, quiet location on the Doron River just below the beautiful peaks of La Masse and situated less than 100 metres from the Bettex chairlift. This gives easy access into Les Menuires and beyond to Val Thorens and the rest of the 600km of piste in the 3 Valleys domain. The Bettex blue piste which runs back down into the village (almost to the chalet door in good conditions)
The Bettex blue piste normally always has a good cover of snow until the end of the ski season with extensive snow cannon cover. The village has a ski hire shop and retains a lovely, quiet, traditional charm. Perfect for a quiet break in the extensive 3 valleys ski area but away from the hustle and bustle of the more well known resort centres.

Meals in Chalet Chenille, Les Menuires
• We take great pride in everything we do for you. We do our best to make you as welcome as we possibly can.
• We keep you as comfortable as we possibly can and we also strive to feed you as well as we possibly can.
• We´re passionate about really great food and also about wine, good wine....we really love to eat and drink.
• We´re proud of the service that we offer our guests here at Skibug and hope it comes across in the food that we prepare for you and the wines that we serve.
The same excellent standard of food is served in all of our chalets. Unlike some other chalet companies we encourage our talented chalet chefs to develop their own individual menus according to what´s available. This means you don´t get the same food cooked in all our chalets and the food you receive is prepared with real love and care for the ingredients used.
What you can be assured of with us is that you´ll be eating delicious, wholesome and nutritious food cooked with passion, flair and individuality. All homemade made from scratch using fresh ingredients and in all of our chalets. We are also more than happy to cater for vegetarians and other dietary requirements with equal care and imagination.
Just let us know when you book your holiday and we´ll make sure our chefs come up with delicious alternatives for you.
Breakfast
Breakfast in our chalets is a good and hearty affair served between 8am & 9am (unless you arrange otherwise with your hosts). Our breakfast consists of a selection of cereals & yogurts, freshly baked bread from a local bakery, a selection of spreads and a hot breakfast option eg. scrambled eggs, french toast or pancakes with maple syrup. We make fresh porridge too and there´s always fruit juices and plenty of tea & freshly brewed coffee to get your day started. On chalet staff day off we provide everything you'd normally find on the breakfast table except the hot option.
Afternoon Tea
Yummy cakes or other delicious treats will be freshly prepared every day and laid out for your return from the slopes, even on your chalet hosts day off! You can help yourself to tea and coffee too in front of a lovely, warm, log fire in one of the comfortable chalet lounges and relax after a hard day on the pistes! Tea and coffee is available at any time in all of our chalets, just help yourself!
Dinner
We are very passionate about the food we serve. We choose only the best staff for our chalets. People who have a real interest and passion for good food and we encourage them to develop their own menu each week. In all of our chalets we serve fantastic, freshly prepared, gourmet three-course evening meals with complimentary wines. On the first and last nights of your holiday we serve pre-dinner appetisers and aperitifs ( every night at Chalet Eagle's Nest, Les Arcs ). On one evening we will serve you a cheeseboard with a variety of delicious cheeses, some of which are made locally and are a must for cheese lovers.
Wine
We love good wine here at Skibug and we love nothing more than serving good wine to our guests. During our time working for a well known wine merchant in the UK we gained experience, knowledge and a deep interest in wine which we now draw upon to choose the wines we serve in our chalets each year. The wines we serve for the duration of dinner each night have been specially selected by us for their quality, finesse, drinkability and food matching versatility. We only ever serve bottled wines to our guests at dinner and we enjoy the tasting and selection process each year as much as we enjoy serving the wines we choose. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.
Kids high tea
We know how important it is to keep your little (and not so little) ones properly fuelled for their time in the mountains. It takes a lot out of them having all that fun in and on the snow. We normally serve children's high tea in each of our chalets at 6pm and our chefs will normally prepare the food we serve completely from scratch. Usually this will be a main course and dessert. We aim to provide our younger guests with just as much scrumptious and delicious food as our older guests which is why we try to have a chat with parents at the beginning of their stay to find out what kind of foods the children like to eat. We even try to hide the vegetables as much as possible.
