The highly recommended Äkäs Alp Apartments are situated in the traditional, unspoilt Lappish community of Äkäslompolo, in a scenic and peaceful wooded location in the Ylläs area.

The comfortable apartments are in the most convenient location for reaching the centre of Äkäslompolo village and you'll be able to make the most of the facilities at the nearby Äkäs Hotel. Have a dip in the indoor pool, or unwind and rejuvenate in your private sauna- excellent for warming up after a day of exploration.

Our apartments are designed to be your cosy home away from home. They all have a kitchenette and cooking facilities (hob and microwave) so you'll have the choice to eat in or try out some of the local spots - restaurants, bars, and a well-stocked supermarket are just a walk away. If you'd prefer tasty meals without any fuss, our optional half board upgrade to the nearby Äkäs Hotel (approx. 100 metres), means you can focus all of your attention on days spent exploring Lapland.

You'll be within walking distance of the meeting point for many of our pre-bookable excursions and activities, and the ski bus stop just outside the Äkäs Hotel. This means you can spend your days gliding down the slopes, snowmobiling through the arctic landscape or on a husky or reindeer safari.

With a convenient 5-10 minute walk (500 meters), you'll find yourself in the village centre. Immerse yourself in the local culture and explore the hidden treasures of Äkäslompolo.

Accommodation in Akas Alp Apartments, Yllas

One bedroom apartments are about 42m² can sleep two to four people. The apartments have one twin bedroom and a double sofa bed (160cm) in the lounge. They also have a fireplace (firewood included).

One bedroom alcove apartments are about 38m² and can sleep two to four people. The apartments have a separate sleeping alcove (open to the living area) with twin beds and a sofa bed in the lounge.

Two bedroom apartments are about 56m² and can sleep two to six people. The apartments have two twin bedrooms and a double sofa bed (160cm) in the lounge. They also have a fireplace (firewood included).

Please note that the sofa beds are best suited to one adult or two children.

Meals in Akas Alp Apartments, Yllas

Apartments in the centre of Äkäslompolo are within walking distance of the local supermarket. All apartments are equipped with a small kitchenette, giving you the option to dine in or check out the local restaurants in the village.

Guests staying on bed and breakfast will have a buffet-style breakfast in the Äkäs Hotel restaurant, with a choice of hot and cold options.

Optional supplement for half board includes a breakfast buffet and an evening dinner buffet with three courses; the menu features Lappish specialties and locally sourced products. Meals are taken at the Äkäs Hotel which is around 100 metres away from the apartments.

There is an optional credit (approx. €10 adult & €5 child) towards the à la carte menu instead of buffet dinner. Please inform the hotel reception by 6pm the night before.

Guests staying over the New Year will have a special festive menu included with half board.
