Chalet L'Arclusaz is a wonderful property, one of very few freestanding Mottaret chalets set in a commanding position with absolutely stunning views.

Clad in original wood and stone, this traditional Alpine chalet has great spacious accommodation set out over three floors. It is set into the side of the mountain and accessed by a set of steps which lead to the entrance hall and super open-plan living/dining room in which there is a roaring log fire and French windows leading to a huge terrace overlooking the whole Meribel valley and close by village pistes. Perhaps the most wonderful aspect of this property is the superb Wellness Centre on the ground floor containing a sauna and jacuzzi which boasts one of the most dramatic and scenic positions one could wish for. What better way to finish off your day by relaxing those tired legs over a glass of chilled Powder White House Wine overlooking the dramatic mountain peaks of Saulire and Aguille du Fruit.

Chalet l'Arclusaz is situated just above the central station of Les Chalets lift connecting the lower, middle and top parts of Meribel Mottaret. In the mornings, you can do a short walk downhill to where to you can put on your skis to join the blue piste running to main lifts and likewise, at the end of the day, you can stop slightly higher by neighbouring buildings (on the same slope) and do a short walk back down to the chalet. The village centre which is connected by a myriad of metal steps is just a short walk away with its bars, shops and restaurants which have become increasingly popular gathering points over recent years.

You will be warmly welcomed to Chalet l'Arclusaz by two of our specially selected chalets hosts (likely a couple) who live in a separate apartment nearby.

We offer our properties on a flexible catering basis therefore providing our guests with as much choice as possible when choosing a fully-catered, part-catered or self-catered chalet or apartment. Your preferences will be discussed at the time of booking and a tailor-made itinerary will be costed based on your requirements.

Our chalet hosts all enjoy cooking and take pride in what they serve and whilst they are not necessarily qualified chefs, they have good experience of dinner party cooking and many of them will have attended one of the well-regarded cookery schools with whom we work closely to ensure the highest calibre of staff possible.

If choosing the fully catered or part catered option, you will be assured of good home-cooked food prepared and served by our specially selected chalet hosts. We do not offer luxury items or haute cuisine, we serve good wholesome hearty food fit for anyone after a hard day on the slopes. Menus will be varied and may include local dishes as well as the more traditional UK favourites such as roasts, lasagne or casseroles.

Our menus have been formed over many years taking into account previous guests’ likes and recommendations and whilst we believe this plan to offer excellent variety, there will be the odd occasion when a dish might not be well-received. We would ask you therefore that if you have any specific dietary requirements or a yearning for dishes in particular, you enquire before booking your holiday and provide us with as much notice as possible regarding specific diets such as vegetarian, vegan, celiac or non-dairy etc.
