Chalet La Fugue

La Fugue is one of Meribel's original chalets, architecturally and authentically Meribel. Built in the renowned local style and blending perfectly with it's alpine surroundings. There is no vehicle access in winter, family and friends will delight in the magical setting of this chocolate box chalet. The recent new renovations have mixed modern styles with the original classic chalet. The lounge and kitchen are on the first floor, where there are breath taking views of the Meribel ski area from the stone and wood clad lounge. There is a large open fireplace with soft sofas and an open plan dining area. An additional smaller lounge / TV room on the ground floor is ideal for children or teenagers to catch a film or play and give the adults some additional space in the main lounge.

There are five bedrooms over three floors, one of the rooms is a family room with an adjoining twin cabin room able to sleep two children. The chalet sleeps 10 but can sleep 12 if required. The four bathrooms and three WC's are shared by the cosy and tastefully decorated bedrooms.

Location:

Right in the centre of Meribel, access to the chalet is via an escalator next to the Tourist Office. There is a short walk across the piste to get to the chalet, in the morning you can put your skis on and ski direct into La Chaudanne, the main lift area. In the evenings, you may not want to leave the comfort of the chalet with it's roaring fire and spectacular view, however if you do, it is very convenient for a quick taste of Meribel's bars and restaurants. The idyllic, ski in ski out location is going to be popular with keen skiers and families wishing for a really magical experience and a holiday not to be forgotten.

Meals in Chalet La Fugue, Meribel

Good wholesome and appetising food is an essential part of any chalet holiday and that is precisely what we provide with the very best local produce.

Start the day with a cooked breakfast of bacon, tomatoes and a choice of eggs. Alternatively you may prefer porridge or to choose from a selection of cereals, yogurts and fresh bread and preserves. All served with fruit juices, fresh coffee and pots of tea.

Return to your chalet at tea time to a selection of bread and preserves, a freshly baked cake or biscuits with tea, coffee or hot chocolate.

Shortly before dinner you can enjoy a glass of Kir and canapés with your fellow guests. Your carefully prepared dinner comprises of three-courses, complimented with a choice of four quality French wines. You will also be provided with a cheese board of locally selected cheeses for the week, which you can enjoy at your own leisure. This is followed by after dinner chocolates and coffee.

Tea, coffee and fresh fruit are available for you during the day for you to help yourself for the duration of your stay.
