Chalet The Christiane

Mottaret has over recent years become increasingly popular due to its height, easy ski accessibility and excellent snow record, therefore we are delighted to be offering a small but attractive programme there which includes The Christiane, a super first floor apartment for up to 6/7 people.

The Christiane is a cute apartment in a traditional Savoyard chalet which offers not only great access to skiing, but great accommodation at a really affordable price. It has a wonderful homely feel with a lovely open plan living/dining room with open log fire and doors leading to a super balcony with great views. The bedrooms are straight-forward and comfortable and there are two bath/shower rooms.

The Christiane is situated next to the middle station of Les Chalet bubble lift, a local lift which connects the the bottom, middle and top of the village as Mottaret is built into the side of a relatively steep slope. You can put your skis on just outside the building (up an outside metal staircase accessing the chalet) and ski back through neighbouring buildings to within literally yards of the chalet from a blue run. The shops, bars and restaurants of this increasingly popular village are situated just a few minutes downhill walk away via the efficient system of steps that run throughout Mottaret.

We believe we are the only recognised independent UK Operator to offer our properties on a flexible catering basis therefore providing our guests with as much choice as possible when choosing a fully-catered, part-catered or self-catered chalet or apartment. Our chalet hosts all enjoy cooking and take pride in what they serve and whilst they are not necessarily qualified chefs, they have good experience of dinner party cooking and many of them will have attended one of the well-regarded cookery schools with whom we work closely to ensure the highest calibre of staff possible.

Please remember though that our staff are also hand-selected for their personality and approach to work, something which we are sure you will agree, is absolutely paramount for the enjoyment of your well-earned holiday. If choosing the fully catered or part catered option, you will be assured of good home-cooked food prepared and served by great ambassadors for Powder White. They will not offer luxury items or haute cuisine, they serve good wholesome hearty food fit for anyone after a hard day on the slopes. Menus will be varied and may include local dishes as well as the more traditional UK favourites such as roasts, lasagne or casseroles.

Chalet Wine: A selection of wines will be available for your fully catered stay (not self or part-catered).

Please Note: Our menus have been formed over many years taking into account previous guests’ likes and recommendations and whilst we believe this plan to offer excellent variety, there will be the odd occasion when a dish might not be well-received.
