The Grand Chevril forms part of the same freestanding chalet as its little sister, The Petit Chevril.

This lovely welcoming chalet-apartment offers fantastic accommodation for up to 8 guests so is perfect for groups of friends or perhaps a couple of families. It has a wonderful living room with open log fire and french doors leading to a balcony on which to enjoy a well-earned cup of tea and a slice of freshly-baked cake after a strong day on the piste.

Positioned just on the main high street of Val d'Isere itself, the location is super. The main Solaise/Bellevarde ski lifts are about a 10 minute walk and the free bus stops very closeby. The main high street with its many bars, restaurants and wonderful shops ar literally a stone's throw away so you are sure to be able to enjoy everything this leading cosmopolitan French resort has to offer.

Did You Know... The Lac du Chevril is the huge reservoir situated just below Val d'Isere. Beneath the lake lies the old village of of Tignes, lost to the water in 1952 when the hydroelectric dam was built by the French Government despite widespread protest from the local people. These days the remains of the village can only be seen when the lake is drained, a process which is carried out once every 10 years.

We believe we are the only recognised independent UK Operator to offer our properties on a flexible catering basis therefore providing our guests with as much choice as possible when choosing a fully-catered, part-catered or self-catered chalet or apartment. Our chalet hosts all enjoy cooking and take pride in what they serve and whilst they are not necessarily qualified chefs, they have good experience of dinner party cooking and many of them will have attended one of the well-regarded cookery schools with whom we work closely to ensure the highest calibre of staff possible.

Please remember though that our staff are also hand-selected for their personality and approach to work, something which we are sure you will agree, is absolutely paramount for the enjoyment of your well-earned holiday. If choosing the fully catered or part catered option, you will be assured of good home-cooked food prepared and served by great ambassadors for Powder White. They will not offer luxury items or haute cuisine, they serve good wholesome hearty food fit for anyone after a hard day on the slopes. Menus will be varied and may include local dishes as well as the more traditional UK favourites such as roasts, lasagne or casseroles.

Chalet Wine: A selection of wines will be available for your fully catered stay (not self or part-catered).
