This prestigious building was built recently especially for our guests, just at the entrance to the Balcons area of Val Thorens, exclusively for our three chalets and the owners’ private apartment.
The location is ideal, close by the Plein Sud blue piste which runs down through the village, and you can ski or walk the 100m from the door across to the piste. Then just ski straight to your choice of ski-lifts in the resort centre,or keep right on skiing, down towards Les Menuires.
The chalet is built into the mountain-side, with the entrance on the top floor and a shared staircase to the chalets, each individually run and hosted. The chalet interiors have been individually designed to offer comfortable and stylish accommodation, with all bedrooms having en suite facilities, hairdryer and some also with balcony.
A shared Wellness Spa with a sauna and steam-room for all guests is situated on the third floor and offers a peaceful and relaxing sanctuary after a full day on the slopes.

Meals in Chalet Mathilde, Val Thorens
Breakfast:
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day while on a ski holiday, so we provide both a hot and a continental selection with a wide range of cereals or porridge, fruit juices, tea and coffee, bread (and croissants in France), cold meats, creamy cheeses and preserves, which is usually presented in a buffet style. On our staff's day off, only a continental breakfast will be provided.
Afternoon Tea:
Upon your arrival back at your chalet from an exciting day on the slopes, afternoon tea will be laid out for you. Everyday (except on the staff's day off) tea and coffee will be left out along with a freshly baked cake, to keep all of you skiers happy until your dinner is served.
Evening Meal With Unlimited Wine:
Your chalet hosts will prepare you a delicious freshly cooked evening meal on 6 nights of the week. Consisting of an appetiser, main course and desert, dinner is also accompanied by unlimited complementary red, white and rose wine during the dinner service. (please call our sales staff if you have any question regarding your evening meals).
Children's High Tea:
In chalets a healthy high tea will be provided for children under 11 years old, where the menus will be tailored towards children's tastes, pureed food is also available for infants upon request. High teas are served at 17.30 so children do not join the adult only meal. Children (if they have received a child discount) can dine with the adults, if they pay a £39 meal upgrade charge - please call for further details as T&Cs may apply).
Special Diets:
Vegetarian meals are available at no extra charge, please inform us at the time of booking so we can prepare for your arrival. Christmas & New Year:
Our chalets will serve a traditional English Christmas Dinner accompanied with a glass of bubbles! This will include roast turkey with all the trimmings, a delicious Christmas pudding, mince pies, Christmas crackers and of course party hats, to create the perfect Alpine Christmas atmosphere.
On New Year's Eve a special festive menu will be served, alongside the added bonus that most resorts put on a spectacular firework display over the snow capped peaks. Is there a better way to bring in the New Year, than with fireworks and a glass of fizz?
Chalet Staff Day Off:
Please Note - Your chalet staff will have 1 day off during your stay with us, giving you the perfect excuse to try one of the fantastic local restaurants. Your in-resort ski representative can help you book or recommend a restaurant for you. On the morning of your chalet staffs day off, a continental breakfast will be left out for you.
Alternatively if you feel like having an extra night in your chalet and not going out for dinner, why not try one of our "Cook Your Own Suppers"? We have teamed up with Huski to offer you an alternative meal option, that you can cook and enjoy in your own chalet. You can have a traditional Alpine Tartifette followed by an apple crumble or Cottage Pie followed by a lemon cheese cake for desert, this is delivered to your chalet, with easy cooking instructions and we will even throw in some wine as well. Prices are approximately £12 to £15 per person, we can also offer vegetarian options as well. Please let us know at the time of booking if you want to use this service or call us if you have any questions?
