Val Thorens Sensations is the latest offering from Club Med. The hotel has been purpose built to there specifications and no stone has been left unturned. The location is second to none with ski in ski out access to and from the doorstep of the hotel. Yet the property is just a stone's throw from the heart of the bustling village centre with all its shops, restaurants and bars.

Club Med Val Thorens Sensations has been specifically designed to maximise the potential of its location and offer guests amazing views over the resort and the mountains with the aim of enhancing natural light and transparency throughout the building. The property was designed by the well known Sophie Jacqmin and Studio Arch and the way that the hotel maximising the panoramic views that are on offer is not just confined to the communal areas. The majority of the rooms also have fantastic views with large windows that make the rooms feel light airy and spacious. There are also 3 communal terraces which have all be oriented to maximise the amount of sunlight that they are exposed too.

Val Thorens Sensations really stands out from the crowd in contrast to much of the uninspiring architecture in the rest of the resort. The architecture combines old with new to great effect with sharp, clean lines where they have used glass, steel and coloured concrete merged with the traditional alpine materials of wood and stone.

The Main Restaurant is has a lovely terrace where you can enjoy the amazing panoramic views of the ski area. It is located on the first floor and offers what is called a “new genration buffet concept” and serves up the best mountain cuisine around.

Open at various times throughout the day you can enjoy menu's from local master chef Edouard Loubet who has 2 Michelin stars and 5 Gault & Millau toques to his name. There is also a wine cellar with some of the finest wines on offer.

Take Away Corner is a self service corner in the ski room serving up hot drinks and snacks for those who just want a quick bight to eat before or after hitting the slopes

The Main Bar in the hotel has been designed with warn colours and huge windows and has really buzzing atmosphere.

The Lounge Bar is located with in the Epicurious Gourmet Lounge and provides an intimate setting to enjoy your evening.
