Chalet Wildhorn has been sympathetically constructed of local wood, stone and local materials, providing a traditional rustic feel, whilst combining a modern high-tech interior.

The real beauty of this chalet is the open-plan spaces, double height ceilings and 270 degree ‘picture’ windows. The accommodation is generously spread over 3 floors, offering 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. There is underfloor heating throughout, power showers, heated towel rails, large jacuzzi hot tub for 8 outside on the deck with sensational views; there are 2 plasma TVs, 2 DVDs, wireless internet, stereo with ipod docking station. The sofas are feather filled and soft, there is a large oak dinning table for 12.

Location:

Located within a tranquil setting, on Chemin des Rairettes, Wildhorn boasts uninterrupted views across the Rhone Valley. The chalet is less than a 1km walk to the main lifts / resort centre, however our driver service is available for morning / afternoon skiing drop-off / pick up. However, it is possible to ski back to the chalet (weather permitting).

Chalet Wildhorn - Sleeps 12 to 14 - 6 Bedrooms

As you enter the chalet, on the middle floor, you are welcomed by the large open-plan mezzanine kitchen-dining area. To the right is an attached annex-style room, complete with its own TV room and another mezzanine style room that can accommodate up to 3 guests (1 x single and 1 x double bed). From the kitchen-dining area, a few steps take you down into the main living area. The glass fronted windows showcase the impressive views across the Rhone Valley. This is the perfect place to relax by the fire, taking in the stunning scenery. The wrap-around balcony is accessed from the lounge, where you’ll find a hot-tub. The main 5 bedrooms are on the lower floor, all complete with en-suite facilities.

One of the most enjoyable parts of a catered chalet holiday is undoubtedly the food. At Ski Armadillo, we aim to create the perfect dinner party every night of the week. Our food is of the highest quality and our wines are carefully selected to compliment your evening meal.

What better way to start your evening than with bubbles and canapés on the balcony or enjoy your hor d’oevres by a roaring fire? Regardless of which of our fabulous chalets you stay in, you will enjoy a drinks reception with canapés on your first and last evening, afternoon tea and 3-course gourmet evening meals served on six evenings. Your host will have laid your table exquisitely and will take care of you throughout your dining experience, serving delicious dishes and topping up your glass. Relax, you’re on holiday!

There are great chefs who have the vision and ability to create a menu that suits you. We have designed a carefully created menu for our chalets, which still allows our chefs to be creative and flexible. If you have any special requests or dietary requirements, let us know and they can design a bespoke menu to meet your tastes.

We know how important the food is when it comes to your chalet holiday, and we use ingredients that can be sourced locally to provide a menu of the freshest dishes possible.

Quite simply, we want you to enjoy delicious, good quality, well-researched wines, which will be tasty enough to drink on their own as an aperitif or when lingering at the dinner table.

Our job is to dispel the notion that chalet wine will be ‘cheap ‘n nasty’ so we have carefully selected pairs of fine wines for you to enjoy with your meal, offering a selection of reds and whites of the highest quality. It was a hard job, but we tasted dozens of wines and voted for some gems, chosen for their superior tastes – we’re sure you won’t be disappointed.
