Welcome to the Silvretta Ski Arena, one of Austria’s premier ski areas famed for its extensive skiing and first class après ski. The Silvretta Ski Arena includes the resorts of Galtur, Kappl, Samnaun and the legendary resort of Ischgl. With 340km of slopes and serviced by 43 state of the art lifts, and with Pistes above 2500m snow is guaranteed throughout the winter season.
The largest and most famous resort in the Silvretta Ski Arena is Ischgl; it’s a picturesque town with arguably the best après ski in the Alps. Galtur the highest village in the Silvretta, and is a sleepy idyllic village that is a million miles from the party atmosphere of Ischgl. The resort is a beginner’s paradise and is very popular with families as it has its own nursery slopes. Samnaun is located on the Austrian –Swiss boarder and is a duty-free region.

The Silvretta Ski Arena has some of the finest skiing in Austria and with 340km of slopes and high altitude skiing it really is a great place to ski. There are 4 ski resorts and make up the ski area; Galtur, Kappl, Samnaun and Ischgl.
The best nursery slopes in Ischgl are situated by the Idalp, which is reached by the gondola from town. Galtur also has there own nursery slopes that are near our hotels.
There are 6 interconnecting valleys in the Silvretta Ski Arena, and with over 50 blue and red runs the ski area is perfectly suited to intermediates. Here at i-ski one our favorite routes is Ischgl’s number 80 run form the top of the Plainkopf in Austria to Samnaum in Switzerland. This run has some great scenic views and has over 1,000m vertical decent.
There are plenty of great off piste opportunities in the Silvretta Ski Arena, why not try the routes from the Piz Val Gronda?
Ischgl is famed for its legendary après ski, everyday without fail 1000s of party goers fill the many après ski bars, where table dancing and Jager Bombs are the norm. There are many après ski bars popular ones include: The Schatzi Bar that is located at the foot of the slopes and underneath the Hotel Elizabeth, this bar is always full and spilling out onto the street. It is famous for the “Schatzi Girls” who dance on the bar and great value Jagermeister. The Trofana Alm is a large bar that looks like a big chalet, playing classic Austrian team tunes. The Kuhstall is located right in the center of town and is always packed.
There is a Pasha nightclub underneath the hotel Madlein that is open till late.
