The Ski Circus is one of Austria’s finest ski areas, including the resorts of Saalbach (an iSki favorite), Hinterglemm and Leogang and Fieberbrunn. With 270km of pistes set amongst spectacular scenery, the Ski Circus is the place to go this winter season. There are perfectly groomed slopes suitable for beginners through to experienced skiers. Thr pistes are well maintained and there are some fantastic off piste opportunities all serviced by 68 ski lifts. The resorts in the Ski Circus are set around the Glemm valley where it is possible to ski a complete circuit around the Ski Circus. There are over 40 ski huts and après ski bars to choose from perfect for unwinding after a hard days skiing.
All the towns in the Ski Circus are picturesque with charming town centers and both Saalbach and Hinterglemm have some world-class hotels. These 2 resorts are 4km apart from one another, although they are close they each have there own ambiance. Saalbach is the larger and livelier of the two, popular après ski venues include the Hinterhag Alm in Saalbach and the Goaßstall in Hinterglemm.

The Ski Circus is one of the most exciting ski areas in Austria, with its 270km of slopes linking the fantastic resorts of Saalbach, Hinterglemm, Fieberbrunn and Leogang. The 270km of piste offers something for everyone. The skiing does not just finish at the end of the day. Why not try night skiing offered every day until 21.30 on the Unterschwarzachlift in Hinterglemm and the Schanteilift in Leogang?
In all the resorts there are nursery slopes in the village center, and the ski schools have an excellent reputation.
With most of the runs in the Ski Circus been red and blue, it is an intermediates paradise. Why not try the Bernkogel, Kohlmais and Reiterkogel regions?
If you are an expert skier the runs off the Schattberg cabke car have a great selection of off piste and mogul routes. Or why not try the Nordabfahrt and the World cup piste the “Zwolferkogel” in the resort of Hiterglemm?
Here at i-ski we think that the Ski Circus is one of the best snowboarding areas in Austria thanks to its wide pistes and its abundance of off piste. There are 2 snowparks in the ski Circus and a boarder cross.
If you love Austrian après ski Saalbach, Hinterglemm and Leogang have a great après ski scene and offer some of the best and liveliest après ski bars in the Alps. In Saalbach the Costello’s is the most popular bar in that resort, where table dancing till late is the norm. Other great après bars on Saalbach include the ski hut Hinterhag Alm.
In Hiterglemm the Goaßstall is the most popular ski hut, and why not try a pit stop in the rustic Kraller Alm in Leogang?
