Skiing in Kirchberg

Skiing Info

Beginner Skiing in Kirchberg

Whilst Kirchberg is connected to the KitzSki area it also has its own mountain called Gaisberg. This is where you will head if you are a beginner skier. The lifts for the nursery slopes are free of charge which is ideal for absolute beginners as it means that you do not have to fork out any money on a lift pass until you feel confident enough to challenge yourself on the harder pistes.

Intermediate Skiing In Kirchberg

Intermediate skiers will want to make the most of all the skiing in the area not just the local slopes on Gaisberg. Connecting into the KitzSki from Kirchbarg means catching a bus from the centre of the resort to either the Fleckalmbahn or Maierlbahn lift which are each about 5minutes from the centre. From each lift you can connect over to Kitzbuhel to ski the Hahnenkamm or the Kitzbuheler Horn as well as being about to ski to the other resorts that make up the area.

Advanced Skiing In Kirchberg

Most advanced skiers staying in Kirchberg will not even give the local slopes on the Gaisberg a second look and will head straight over to Kitzbuhel and beyond. Many advanced skiers will be happy with the quality of the skiing on offer even though the KitzSki is not the biggest ski area. However, if you are the type of skier who like to as far and as fast as you can, whilst trying to avoid skiing the same section of terrain more than once where possible, then you should upgrade to the Kitzbuheler Alpen AllStarCard which allows you to link over to the Ski Welt via Westendorf and opens up a huge amount of skiing.

Snowboarding in Kirchberg

Kirchberg is a good destination for a snowboarding holiday. The area as a whole offers good terrain, both on and off piste, and there are 2 snowparks within the local KitzSki area (with access to even more in the extended area covered by the AllStarCard lift pass). The two local snowparks are well looked after and there is a half pipe as well.
