The resort is situated at 1350m on the northern slopes of Rila Mountains; with its short transfer from Sofia and excellent value it has quickly become one of the most attractive winter holiday destinations. It has 58km of slopes many of which are ideal for beginners and improving intermediates.

Borovets has become in recent years one of the most popular ski resorts for the British market. Famous for its great value and short transfer, it is clear why it is one of the most popular resorts for first time skiers, beginners and families alike. The resort itself is at 1350m and offers 58km of pistes set against some spectacular scenery.
This resort offers amazing rates on their ski packs (lessons, hire and pass) and has fast become one of the most popular areas to learn to ski. It has over 200 English-speaking instructors and with 4 green runs and 8 blue runs on offer, it is the perfect place to learn.
There are 9 red runs for those who are more experienced to play on, with plenty of diverse terrain to improve on and explore.
While Borovets might be thought of as being ideal for advanced skiers there is still skiing to be found to keep an advanced skier busy for a week. There is loads of off piste with some amazing tree line skiing and well as a terrain park for anyone who likes a bit of freestyle skiing or snowboarding.
Besides being a fantastic place to learn on for the more advanced there is the Borosport Park. The snow park is located on side of the Popangelov ski run; there are 4 difficulty levels from the beginner to professional. It is filled with rails and jumps and the park is fitted with Wi-Fi so you can upload your tricks and favorite moments anytime.
Borovets après ski is nearly as famous as the skiing. With many bars open till 4am and cheap drinks it is the perfect holiday choice for anyone who like to party.
Popular bars include Harry’s Bar, Black Tiger and Bonkers and there are also a few nightclubs to choose from in the hotel Rila and Samokov.
Why not try the Alpine Restaurant that serves both tasty European meals and traditional Bulgarian specialties. La Bomba is a grill restaurant and The Blue is a specialty steak house.
Besides the great bars and restaurants there are plenty of alpine activities to choose from such as night skiing, tobogganing, bowling, billiards and snowmobiling.
