Vars is a French ski resort that is linked to Risoul and forms part of the large Foret Blanche ski area. It has a185km of pistes to play on.
Beginner Skiing Vars ****
It really is a great ski holiday destination for beginner and learner skiers, as most of the green and blue runs are easily assessable. Also, it is possible to ski to Risoul entirely on blue runs.
Intermediate skiing Vars *****
The Foret Blanche is great for intermediates as there are many fast motorway slopes to choose from and some great reds that run into the village.
Advanced Skiing Vars ***
There are some challenging routes in Vars, including a notorious mogul run into the resort. The hardest piste according to the locals is Cuni. The resort also has a speed skiing course, where skiers can reach up to an eye-watering 100mph, that is open every day.
Snowboarding in Vars ****
There is a fantastic snowpark in the Foret Blanche below the De Cezier chairlift. This park has many kickers, rails and a half pipe.
