There are a few easy nursery slopes situated at Plan Checrouit and Maison Vielle, however, these can only be used in the company of a ski instructor. There is a good selection of wide blue slopes to choose from, and the ski schools have a great reputation.
Holidays to Courmayeur are the perfect place for intermediate skiers, with plenty of testing runs, a number of skiable bowls, steep gullies and wide-open pistes.
There are some challenging dissents from the Cresta Youla to the Val Veny that run for approximately 9km. There are some fantastic off-piste opportunities, including access to the world-famous Vallee Blanche run.
There is a new snowpark served by the Aretu chair, that has rail and jump lines suitable for all levels. There is also a new airbag serviced by 2 kickers.
Courmayeur is a charming pretty Italian ski resort that really comes alive during the evening. There are over 50 restaurants and cafes offering delicious local Valdostana and Italian cuisines, which are suitable for all budgets. Le Tunnel that serves large pizzas and pasta and Pierre Alexis for authentic local food, are our favorites.
There is a great range of friendly bars that can get very vibrant during the evening. Why not try the après ski Bar Roma or cocktails at the American bar, and for the more laid back Guides bar that has a cozy log fire. All the drinks in Courmayeur are often at more affordable price than its French counterparts.
