La Rosiere and La Thuile both have English speaking ski schools with good reputations. They also both have nursery slopes that can easily be access from, the resort centre with easy and wide pistes than are great for beginner skiers.
Intermediate skiers will love this ski area as it is full of blue and red runs that are are wide open with plenty of space. There are also plenty of lovely tree lined routes which offer brilliant scenery and are also handy if the whether closes in and you want to stick to the slopes below the tree line for better visibility.
There is some great heli-Skiing opportunities on the Italian side of the Espace San Bernardo. Helli-Skiing is not possible in France but it is in Italy. There are also some great black runs to be found in the area, and if you budget does not stretch to heli-skiing then the general off piste that can easily be reach is some of the best in Europe.
As mentioned above the Espace San Bernardo is great for off piste skiing. Both La Thuile and La Rosiere offer fantastic opportunities for tree skiing!
La Rosiere is slightly more lively than La Thuile (although it is not exactly the party capital of the Alps). Popular bars include Fusion, Moo Bar, Le petite Danois and Le Pub and most are open until about 2am often offering live music and great happy hours deals.
