Although Pragelato has its own ski area it is now linked by a new gondola to the massive Milky Way (Via Lattea) ski area, which boasts over 400km (250 miles) of slopes. The Village itself is just a short ski from the legendary resort of Sestriere. Other great resorts within the Milky Way include: Sauze d’Oulx, Mongenevre (France), San Sicario, Cesana, and Claviere.
Visitors to Pragelato will find the village to be built in a rustic and chic style, without spoiling the beauty of the natural surroundings. Pragelato hosted 3 events during the 2006 Winter Olympic Games, the ski jump, Nordic events and the cross-country skiing.

Pragelato is a pretty alpine village that is within the Milk Way (Via Lattea) ski area, which has 400km (250 miles) of slopes. Other resorts in the Milky Way ski area include; Sestriere, Sauze d’Oulx, Mongenevre (France), San Sicario, Cesana and Claviere.
There are some good blue and nursery slopes in Pragelato, perfect for first time skiing. There are also good beginner ski areas in Mongenevere and nearby Sestriere.
With so much skiing on offer in the Milky Way, and with 80% of the 400km of slopes, been red and blue runs, there really is something for everyone. There are also plenty of tree-lined routes to explore, and with slopes over 2800m, snow guaranteed throughout the winter season.
The Milky Way is a fantastic ski area for expert skiers, and with over 200 pistes and 40 black runs, it really has so much to offer. Why not try the Olympic run in Sansicario and the men’s World Cup downhill in Sestriere.
Après ski in Pragelato is a low-key affair, definitely not for those who are looking for late night clubbing and bars. The village itself has a few locally run bars and restaurants, why not try out Bazar de la Placette or the Borgo Antico.
Our only hotel in Pragelato, Club Med Pragelato is all-inclusive so all drinks are free and has an onsite nightclub that gets busy during the evenings.
