The two most popular destinations for short break ski weekends are probably Morzine and Chamonix as they are two of the Worlds most famous resorts and they are only about one hours transfer from Gevena. This makes then ideal for short breaks as you can often maximise the amount of skiing time that you get by getting almost a full days skiing in on the first and last day of your trip if you get a super early flight out and a late flight back. That means more time skiing and less time off work! However, there are plenty of other detsination to consider as well. Within just a couple of hours from Geneva you can be in Brides la Baines which has direct access to the skiing of the 3 Valleys via the Olympic bubble lift. Short breaks in Brides la Baines offer great value and give you access to one of the biggest and best ski areas in the world. Alpe d'Huez and Les Deux Alpes are also popular due to a short transfer to and from Grenoble.
The Austrian resorts are also popular for short break skiing due to short transfers from Innsbruck and Salzberg and Switzerland is often a popular choice due to the easy of doing transfers to and from the heart of most Swiss Ski Resorts via the Swiss Rail network. Italy can also be a good choice with flights in and out of Turin which is just an hour away from the huge Milky Way ski Area.
