Family Ski Holidays
Here are iSki we know that a family ski holiday can be one of the best experiences that parents and children can have together and it is essential to make sure that you get it right! That is where we come in. We have got years of experinece putting togther family holidays and the one thing that we have learnty over the years is that with a family ski holiday the kids come first. As long as the children are happy and enjoying themselves then 9 times out of ten the parents will be happy as well. That is not to say that the family ski holidays that we offer do not have anything for the adults. On the contray we aim to find our clients the perfect Family skiing experiences that suit both parent and child.
Every family is different and where certain features of one accommodation might work for some they may not work for others. The big thing to think about is what accommodation type are you after? Catered chalet, hotel or self catered? you might be a family of 4 who want your own privacy without sharing your accommodation with anyone else in which case a self actered apartment would be perfect for what you need. However, if your party is slightly bigger and you still don't want to share your accommodation then a catered chalet for sole use might be the way forward. Alternatively you might prefer to book in to a social chalet hotel where you can meat other like minded parents around the dinner table and where your children will be sure to make loads of friends throughout the week.
There are litteraly hundreds of ski resorts to choose from so picking the right one for your family can be a tough task but we are more than happy to help you along the way. With youngchildren you might want a specifically family friendly resort such as Les Gets or La Rosiere or Flaineor if you have got a family with a mixture of child ages then you might want to look at somewhere such as the 3 Valleys where the resorts and the skiing are still great for young kids but also offer a bit more for the older ones as well.

Child Care
If you want your children to be looked after whilst you are away so that you can make the most of your time on the mountain then there are a couple of options. The first option is to make use of any local child care service that might be available in resort. If you are happy to do this this you are totally unrestricted as to what ski holidays you can look at. The only complication that you have is making sure that both your choosen accommodation and the child care service have got availability at the same time.
The second option is to look at a chalet or hotel operator that offers in resort child care services that are pre bookable as part of there package. This is probably the easiest option as everything can be checked all at once in terms of availability of accommodation and child care. The other bonus is that you know your children are being looked after by English speaking nannies who are employed by the tour operator with home you are on holiday with, so you will always have an easy point of contact. The third option is to look at hotels which provide in house child care. Many independent hotels in the Alps have in house child care and creche facilities. It is just a case of finding the right one. Again the hardest thing can be knowing where to look so just get in touch and we will provide you with as much help as possible.
