The Chalet L'Ancolie is a traditional and characterful property set in a quiet location back from the main street. The owner is an expert carpenter and he has done most of the interior wood panelling himself, ensuring a high attention to detail with many delightful features. Chalet L'Ancolie is available to book exclusively as well as room by room.
Savoyard style
Set over three floors and decorated in a traditional Savoyard style with cosy, warm and welcoming furnishings you have all the comforts of home. The chalet has five bedrooms with wood panelling which really adds to the Alpine feel of the chalet, all bedrooms have en-suite facilities and a balcony or terrace with amazing views across the Meribel Valley.
After a day of exploring the Three Valleys relax in front of the fireplace with a coffee and some cake, where the comfy seating provides a haven to unwind. There's also a sauna on the ground floor so you can revitalise after a day on the mountain. The chalet also has a heated ski and boot room and a table football.
Good location
As the chalet is set back from the main street, you benefit from being in a peaceful and quiet location. A walk to the resort centre takes around ten minutes, if you fancy a stroll before or after dinner, where you can find a variety of shops, bars and restaurants to keep you entertained.
Access to the slopes is easy, the bus stop for the free ski bus is just one minute's walk away (50m) and the bus runs throughout the day with additional services at peak times.
Chalet catering
Throughout your holiday, your chalet hosts are on hand to help you with anything you might need. On six of the seven days of the week, the chalet hosts prepare delicious homemade food, including a cooked breakfast, afternoon tea snacks, and a four-course dinner with wine, beer and soft drinks. On staff day off the hosts will leave a continental breakfast out and you are free to spend the evening however you'd like in resort.
Location
• Free ski bus stop is 50 metres from the chalet making it easy to reach the slopes. The buses run throughout the day with additional services as the lifts open and when they close.
• The ski school meeting place is at the Chaudanne, which is on the ski bus route
• 10 minutes walk to the resort centre
• When booking ski equipment hire through us, these will be picked up from the chalet on Friday. So, no need to worry about returning your skis to the shop

Breakfast:
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day while on a ski holiday, so we provide both a hot and a continental selection with a wide range of cereals or porridge, fruit juices, tea and coffee, bread (and croissants in France), cold meats, creamy cheeses and preserves, which is usually presented in a buffet style. On our staff's day off, only a continental breakfast will be provided.
Afternoon Tea:
Upon your arrival back at your chalet from an exciting day on the slopes, afternoon tea will be laid out for you. Everyday (except on the staff's day off) tea and coffee will be left out along with a freshly baked cake, to keep all of you skiers happy until your dinner is served.
Evening Meal With Unlimited Wine:
Your chalet hosts will prepare you a delicious freshly cooked evening meal on 6 nights of the week. Consisting of an appetiser, main course and desert, dinner is also accompanied by unlimited complementary red, white and rose wine during the dinner service. (please call our sales staff if you have any question regarding your evening meals).
Children's High Tea:
In chalets a healthy high tea will be provided for children under 11 years old, where the menus will be tailored towards children's tastes, pureed food is also available for infants upon request. High teas are served at 17.30 so children do not join the adult only meal. Children (if they have received a child discount) can dine with the adults, if they pay a £39 meal upgrade charge - please call for further details as T&Cs may apply).
Special Diets:
Vegetarian meals are available at no extra charge, please inform us at the time of booking so we can prepare for your arrival. Most other special diets can be catered for and in some cases may carry a £35 per person supplement (please call us for more details), if you have any special dietary requirements, please inform us at the time of booking so that the staff can be fully prepared for your stay.
Christmas & New Year:
Our chalets will serve a traditional English Christmas Dinner accompanied with a glass of bubbles! This will include roast turkey with all the trimmings, a delicious Christmas pudding, mince pies, Christmas crackers and of course party hats, to create the perfect Alpine Christmas atmosphere.
On New Year's Eve a special festive menu will be served, alongside the added bonus that most resorts put on a spectacular firework display over the snow capped peaks. Is there a better way to bring in the New Year, than with fireworks and a glass of fizz?
Chalet Staff Day Off:
Please Note - Your chalet staff will have 1 day off during your stay with us, giving you the perfect excuse to try one of the fantastic local restaurants. Your in-resort ski representative can help you book or recommend a restaurant for you. On the morning of your chalet staffs day off, a continental breakfast will be left out for you.
Alternatively if you feel like having an extra night in your chalet and not going out for dinner, why not try one of our "Cook Your Own Suppers"? We have teamed up with Huski to offer you an alternative meal option, that you can cook and enjoy in your own chalet. You can have a traditional Alpine Tartifette followed by an apple crumble or Cottage Pie followed by a lemon cheese cake for desert, this is delivered to your chalet, with easy cooking instructions and we will even throw in some wine as well. Prices are approximately £12 to £15 per person, we can also offer vegetarian options as well.
