The Hotel Val Claret All Inclusive is hard to beat if you’re after convenience. You’ll be staying all inclusive, so mealtimes are sorted, and when it’s time to après, you can enjoy unlimited drinks at the bar. Add in childcare for the little ones, and the only thing you’ll need to think about is where to ski next. Speaking of skiing, you’re just metres from the lifts in the Val Claret part of Tignes.
This place ticks the box when it comes to facilities as well. Soak up the scenery with a post-piste tipple on the terrace. And later on, swing by the bar for evening entertainment like games and music. Or grab your towel and take a dip in the indoor pool, then treat yourself to a well-earned massage in the BelaSpa instead. Once you’re relaxed and refreshed, it’s time to think about dinner. Find new favourites from a varied buffet spread and visit show cooking stations to sample regional specialities.
Location:
The hotel itself is on the edge of the resort, and there are views of mountain peaks on all sides. Inside, there’s a cosy feel throughout, with lots of warm, red tones and plenty of plush fabrics. Vintage ski gear and old photos add a dash of alpine charm in the lounge, and there’s an open fire too – just what you need to warm your toes after a day on the slopes.
• Hotel Val Claret has a great location on the piste next to the the Bollin chairlift so you can ski in / ski out
• The ski school meeting point is 100 metres in Val Claret so just ski down to this
• The Bollin chairlift is a 30 metres ski down from the hotel. The Fresse chairlift starts from the same point and this takes you up to the Col de Fresse, the Borsat chair and Val d'Isère. Otherwise ski past the Fresse/Bollin chairlifts to the funicular or Les Lanches chairlift for the Grande Motte Glacier or to the Tichot chairlift for the Snowpark and the Aiguille Percée side of the valley.
• At the end of the day just catch the Bollin charlift and ski back to the hotel.
• Transfer Time: approx. 2 hours from Chambéry Airport
Tignes is famous for it's record amounts of snowfall, making it the best place for skiers and snowboarders to carve up the slopes. The area has three main villages: Val Claret, Le Lac and Le Lavachet, which are linked together by a 24 hour free bus service. Val Claret is 2,100 metres high and has a superb position right at the foot of the Grande Motte funicular. Le Lac and Le Lavachet have a more cosy village feel to them and also offer easy access to the slopes and over to Val d’Isère. The villages have a great selection of shops, bars and restaurants and have a lively, friendly, buzz about them. We also have accommodation in Tignes 1850 and Tignes Les Brevieres, which are quieter villages with easy access to the slopes.
